A note from the Artist

After drawing the image for “The Sapphire Pendant”, I was committed to staying with oil based colored pencils and a realistic look.

But after those set standards, I wanted to experiment with a different look and mood for “The Amber Stone.”

After reading the book, I realized it wasn’t only a story about redemption but integrity.

I wanted to draw an image that showed strength, determination, confidence and a sense of elegant pride.

I also wanted to draw the reader’s eye to the stone and show it as a source of power.

I am honored to once again see this image on the special edition hardcover of “The Amber Stone” and to make this print available so others can enjoy the spirit behind its creation.
